Summer Reads '25

When does Summer Reads start/end?

• Start date: June 28, 2025
• End date: August 23, 2025

Who can participate?

Adults and teens!

How does it work?

Starting on June 28, you can pick up your Summer Reads '25 activity sheet at any EPL location. Or if you would rather keep track of your reading online, you can register with your library card number and PIN to track your hours spent reading and your activities completed. The link for the online registration will be posted on the Summer Reads page on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

Once you've completed your tracking sheet you can return it to any EPL location to be entered to win one of this year's prizes.

If you're participating online, you can login any time that you want to add hours to your reading total or check off any of the activities that you complete. Every time you login you'll see your reading and activity totals.

You'll automatically be entered to win one prize for every 7 hours read and 2 activities completed.

What if I don't have a library card?

No problem, you can sign up for a free EPL card HERE.

I have a library card but I don't know my PIN. 

You can contact us a a variety of ways including a live online chat and we would be happy to help you with your PIN.

What are the prizes?

• Private class in EPL's The Kitchen for up to 12 people
• One pair of tickets to the Forward Thinking Speaker Series presentation, A Conversation with Peter Mansbridge on Tuesday, September 9
• K-Days admission passes
• Gift Cards to various Edmonton businesses including Audreys Books, Credo Coffee, Doughnut Party, and Zocalo
• John Douglas autographed copy of Mindhunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit
• Christine Sinclair autographed copy of Playing the Long Game: A Memoir

How do I win a prize?

If you're participating online, you'll automatically be entered to win one of the prizes after completing 7 hours of reading and 2 activities.

If you picked up a sheet from a branch or printed one off at home, you'll need to bring your completed sheet into an EPL Branch to be entered to win a prize.

Please note that no entries will be accepted over the phone, via email, via carrier pigeon, etc.

All winners will be contacted by Friday, September 5, 2025.
