Dr. Stanley A. Milner fully funded the initial children’s library at the downtown branch, and it was also his generous donation that allowed the space to be drastically renovated and expanded in 2010. The library was named in honour of his late daughter, Shelley Milner, who loved to read and was rarely without a book in her hand. The dedication ceremony took place on May 4, 2010.
