Get an L-Pass for free access to EPL:

• University of Alberta L-Pass  
• MacEwan University L-Pass  
• Concordia University of Edmonton L-Pass 
• Norquest College L-Pass  
• King's University L-Pass  

EPL provides the same library access to Indigenous persons living on a reserve (e.g. Enoch Cree Nation Reserve) or Métis settlement (e.g. Kikino Métis Settlement) in Alberta as enjoyed by Edmonton residents. Get an EPL card!, opens a new window

ME Libraries, opens a new window (public libraries) 

Use your home library card as your library card (e.g. EPL library card) at other public libraries in Alberta by registering it at a participating public library of your choice using the ME Libraries web-based service.   

Registering your card will let you borrow items immediately. No staff involvement is necessary. ME Libraries users have access to the same walk-in borrowing privileges as local library cardholders.

TAL Card, opens a new window (public, post-secondary and government libraries) 

The TAL Card (The Alberta Library) is the only program that allows cross-sectoral borrowing (ex. a member of a public library borrowing from an academic library). TAL Card users have access to the same borrowing privileges as local walk-in library cardholders. Apply for a TAL Card at your home library by speaking with staff in-person.  

To borrow materials from a TAL member library, follow these steps:

• Apply for a TAL Card at your home library.
• Bring your TAL Card with you to a TAL library location.
• Register your TAL Card at the TAL library of your choice.

Our mission is to share and if you live outside of Edmonton, you can access our physical collection with your home library card. Please note that access to eBooks, eAudiobooks, and Online Resources are not available to ME and TAL borrowers. Review ME Libraries or TAL card options for more details in #4 option above.
