The Athletic, a New York Times company, delivers in-depth sports coverage of your favourite teams and leagues. Access includes everything from breaking news and live commentary to long-form features, exclusive interviews, podcasts, and more.

Following the link in the title grants a 24-hour digital access pass to use on The Athletic website or in The Athletic app. You will be asked to create an account for or sign in to The Athletic.

Access expired? Log out of The Athletic in your browser or app. Follow the link in the title and sign in with your The Athletic account to redeem another 24 hours of access.

Service notes:

    • Already created an account for EPL’s New York Times access? You can use that same account for 24-hour digital passes to The Athletic.
    • If creating an account, choose the “Sign up with Email” option – the 24-hour digital pass is not compatible with the Google, Apple, or Facebook partner sign-in options.
    • Email addresses that have been used previously for a personal paid subscription with The Athletic or The New York Times cannot be used for this purpose.

Freading eBooks Library Card Required.

eBook ResourceIncludes titles from most genres and lots of reality reads. There are over 170,000 titles always available for you - No waiting, no holds required!

Please Note: Freading has changed its sign-on method so you no longer need an Adobe Digital Editions account to use the app! If you are using the Freading website or mobile app for the first time since this sign-on method change, you will be asked to create a new account with an email address, password, your library card and your PIN. Once that information has been entered, you will be able to enjoy Freading books seamlessly without having to sign-up separately with Adobe.
 

These new Freading credentials will now be your Adobe Digital Editions ID and password to download eBooks on your computer for Freading and other eBook platforms. 

Service Note: As of May 2023, customers with an Android device running the Android 13 operating system and above may encounter issues when trying to use the Freading app. The vendor is aware of this issue and is working to resolve it. This note will be updated once the issue is resolved.

New York Times Newspapers & Magazines Library Card Required.

eNewspapers ResourceNYTimes.com provides access to the latest multimedia journalism and storytelling from The New York Times newspaper. Articles are available in English, Chinese and Spanish. Access includes articles from 1851 to 1922 and 1981 to present. Access to NYTimes Cooking is available with a remote pass. Access to the crossword is not available. Users will need to create a NYTimes.com account with an email address.
