Description:
Join us for a creative and inspiring workshop where art and nature come together!
Participants will create a unique take-home art piece using plants and natural elements from our outdoor environment. Using a silhouette-style drawing on cardstock, you’ll have the freedom to design a colorful and intricate masterpiece or keep it simple and elegant—it’s entirely up to you! Whether you choose to use stencils or freehand your design, the process is as enjoyable as the final result.
For our younger participants or those requiring additional support, we offer inclusive options like coloring pages featuring important animals from Indigenous storytelling and spiritual teachings.
Throughout the event, you’ll also have the chance to learn about the significance of the plants and animals featured in your artwork. Traditional knowledge and animal stories will be shared, creating an enriching experience for all.
The plants and materials used for this event are sustainably harvested to ensure minimal environmental impact, aligning with the principle of leaving no trace. Seasonal availability guides our choices, making each session a reflection of the natural world around us.
Come and create, connect, and explore the beauty of Indigenous art and nature!
