Volunteering at EPL is a life-enriching, rewarding experience, because supporting EPL supports the community we all share.

Our network spans across Edmonton, so we need and appreciate help with all kinds of tasks. We need volunteers for everything from the simple and technical, to the public and behind the scenes.

Adult Opportunities 

Forms Completion Volunteer (18+)

EPL is currently looking for four (4) adult volunteers to support library customers who have challenges with digital literacy and/or English language skills to review and complete a variety of online or paper government forms. Here are the locations & details:

Castle Downs Branch- 15379 Castle Downs Rd NW, Edmonton

  • Every Sunday from 2:00pm-4:00pm
  • 6-month minimum volunteer commitment (July-December)
  • Language Requirements: Arabic

Clareview Branch- 3808 139 Ave NW, Edmonton

  • Every Tuesday from 1:00pm-3:00pm
  • 6-month minimum volunteer commitment (July-December)

Sprucewood Branch- 11555 95 St, Edmonton

  • Every Saturday from 2:30pm-4:30pm
  • 6-month minimum volunteer commitment (July-December)

Stanley A. Milner Library- 7 Sir Winston Churchill Square, Edmonton

  • Every Thursday from 2:00pm-4:00pm
  • 6-month minimum volunteer commitment (July-December)

Teen Opportunities (13-17 years)

Les Copains de Lecture- Succursale Idylwylde- 8310 88 Avenue

EPL is currently looking for 10 French-speaking teens (between the ages of 13-17) to assist with their upcoming Copains de Lecture Program at the Idylwylde Branch. Here are the details:

  • 5 jours de suite- Du 12 au 16 août 2024 de 15h30 à 16h30
  • La session d'orientation obligatoire est le vendredi le 9 août 2024 de 15h30 à 16h30.
  • Opportunité pour les ados de 13 à 17 ans qui lisent/parlent en français.
